A 10-year-old boy from Hebri in Udupi district has amazed everyone with his extraordinary spiritual and academic achievement. Advaith, son of Raghavendra and Sangeetha from Chaar village, has written the complete Bhagavad Gita 18 times in four languages—Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit, and English—making him one of the youngest in India to accomplish this feat.
Studying in the 5th standard, Advaith displayed spiritual inclination from a very young age. By the age of five, he had memorized several shlokas, including the entire Hanuman Chalisa. At just eight years old, he memorized all 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita and recited them flawlessly, earning praise and blessings from revered seers of the Pejawar and Puttige Mathas.
Under the guidance of his parents and the value-based education system of Poorna Pramati School, Bengaluru, Advaith developed a disciplined daily routine of Gita recitation and writing. He actively participated in the ‘Koti Gita Lekhana Yajna’ and dedicated his written works to Lord Krishna at Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt, where he was honored by Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji.
Apart from spiritual studies, Advaith is also talented in Yakshagana and has begun studying classical texts like Harikathamrutasara, Ramayana, Bhagavata, and Mahabharata. His achievement stands as a source of inspiration for children and parents alike, showcasing the power of dedication, discipline, and cultural values.
