(5/5) In the final video, Children’s Continence Nurse Specialist Lisa Smith brings the entire programme together through detailed case studies.
Using the SOAPIER clinical framework, she shows how she assesses, plans and supports children and young people with autism, Down syndrome, FASD, complex medical needs, sensory processing differences and long histories of toileting challenges.
Lisa explains how fear, trauma, sensory overwhelm and retained reflexes can affect continence, and how slow, compassionate, individualised steps can lead to remarkable progress. This concluding session is full of hope, practical insights and real-world examples that highlight the difference the KEY Continence Programme can make.
