Prerequisites: basic understanding of Immich installation process.

In this video, we will be using a NAS with your Immich Server instead of using the standard onboard disk.

⌨️ Commands used in this video:
Figuring out the userid for immich:
grep immich /etc/passwd
Line to add in /etc/fstab to mount NAS on reboot. Make sure to use your IP number and path to the NAS as well as your own UID/GID
//192.168.1.234/Homeshare/immich /mnt/immich-nas cifs vers=3.0,credentials=/root/.smbcredentials,dir_mode=0777,file_mode=0777,uid=100999,gid=100995 0 0
Mount devices in /etc/fstab
mount -a
update the mounting table for systemd
systemctl daemon-reload
updating the LXC to mount the NAS. User your LXC number and filepaths
pct set 310 --mp0 /mnt/immich-nas,mp=/mnt/nas
more /etc/pve/lxc/310.conf
copy existing files to NAS
cp -ar /opt/immich/upload /mnt/nas
