here is my participation in OCtober edits (organized by starkqueen) to the prompt ‘hurt’.

i’ve been working on a video about this family for over a year now. constantly changing the style, the song, the whole vibe, transferring my clips from one project to another... recently, i started this new one. and when i saw the prompt ‘hurt’, i decided to hurry up and complete the final touches of this project so i would finally finish it and post it before i changed my mind yet again.

this story is about changing times, and a clash between the older and the newer generation. it's about maintaining power at any cost, about trying to be true to yourself, about figuring out if you should choose blood above anything else. it’s a low fantasy, as in it’s in a fictional world but there is no magic or mythical creatures.

james frain is the faceclaim for the father.
stuart martin and sophie turner are his children.
olivia cooke is his second wife (step mother).
