This race isn’t about speed.
It’s about the decision to keep going.
The Tennessee Mile is made up of a 40-hour endurance race which includes relentless 1.1-mile loops—each one tracked by a simple clothes pin on a line. No fanfare. Just a quiet signal that you’ve finished another loop… and the choice to go back out again.
In the weeks leading up to the race, I trained my mind as much as my body—using cold plunging as a way to practice choosing discomfort on purpose. Not because the cold makes the race easier, but because it teaches you how to step back into pain when comfort is an option.
This short documentary follows that parallel:
a plunge into cold water,
a clip added to the line,
and the moments in between where resolve is tested.
If you’ve ever faced something that asked you to keep going when stopping would’ve been easier, this story is for you.
