Shri Sai baba of shirdi and PP Vasudevananda saraswati were both great saints and had great reverence for each other. They called each others as Brother. This is a story taken from sai satcharitra - sai baba's pothi.

Sai Baba of Shirdi, also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual master who is regarded by his devotees to be a manifestation of Sri Dattaguru and identified as a saint and a fakir. He was revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees during, as well as after, his lifetime.

Vasudevanand Saraswati, also known as Tembe Swami, is a saint who is regarded as an incarnation of Dattatreya. He received 'Danda' from Shri Narayananandsaraswati Swami at Ujjain. He lived a strictly adherent ascetic life under the constant guidance of Lord Dattatreya. Whole life, he walked barefooted throughout India, preaching Vedic religion and tradition of Lord Dattatreya. Swamiji was affluent in literal dispassion, solitary devotion, had an exceptional knowledge in medicine; master in sorcery; genius in technology; profound astrologer; a renowned, spiritual poet in Marathi as well as Sanskrit language; brilliant orator, proclaimed master of Hathyoga and utmost devotee of Lord Dattatreya.

This story depicts oneness of saints in spirit and also thier mutual love and the way they protect and guide their devotees.
