The materials we use in our homes and the techniques we use to install them can have a profound effect on our health. Those with MCS—multiple chemical sensitivity—and other environmental illnesses know that well, but almost everyone spends more than 90% of their time indoors and these chemicals affect all of us.
Corinne Segura joins us to discuss ways to identify potentially problematic materials and assemblies and what products and strategies we can use to ensure our building interiors are safe and healthy for everyone.
Corinne Segura is a Certified Building Biology Practitioner and an InterNACHI-certified Moisture Intrusion Inspector. She is a contributor at Green Building Advisor and, perhaps most importantly, she has survived extreme chemical and mold sensitivities herself. Corinne founded and runs My Chemical-Free House https://www.mychemicalfreehouse.net/, / mychemicalfreehouse ) where she shares research and articles to help people create homes for those with environmental sensitivities.
