Joanna and Richard Greaves moved their family of six from Tauranga to Joanna’s family farm in Opiki, Manawatu 18 months ago.

After living all over New Zealand from Hawke’s Bay to Queenstown, the couple were looking for a place they could continue growing their careers in agribusiness, while juggling and making the most of their busy family life.

“Living in Manawatu we get the best of both worlds,” says Joanna referring to their rural lifestyle in Manawatu district and fantastic career opportunities in Palmerston North.

The couple say the education and schooling available in Palmerston North is some of the best they’ve come across in New Zealand, and an added bonus - Joanna can have all four children dropped at four different locations and be at her desk by 8.30am, easily.
