In this video, we are going to be looking at one of the greatest African Stories ever told. Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe. Things Fall Apart is regarded as one of the greatest African Literature.
In Things Fall Apart, the hero, Okonkwo—a great warrior in Umuofia became well known throughout the nine clans and even beyond. As a young man of 18, he had brought honor to his village by throwing down Amalinze the Cat—who for seven years had remained unbeaten.
Okonkwo's father Unoka was the exact opposite of him. Lazy, and incapable of thinking about tomorrow, he owed every neighbor some money. He was poor and had no titles. Okonkwo worked hard for his tradition and beliefs.
