The Lisu Folk Dance known as “Wakhi-Khi “has evolved over centuries as a vibrant expression of joy on various occasions. In the state of Arunachal Pradesh, the Lisu (Yobin) settled in Vijoynagar (Malushidi) and maintained a distinctive cultural identity. Living in the isolated and inaccessible region the Lisu rooted in an agrarian lifestyle have assimilated and developed a unique form of dance across different countries. The choreography involves well-coordinated footwork and body movement complemented by the melodies and tunes of various musical instruments.
