Dr. Gurmeet Singh, MD, MSc Associate Clinical Professor of Critical Care Medicine and Cardiac Surgery at the University of Alberta, Medical Director of the Adult ECMO Program

Dr. Dayna Lee-Baggley, PhD Clinical Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Health Authority specializing in behaviour change, chronic disease, obesity, acceptance and commitment therapy.

About this presentation
Information on COVID-19 is emerging at a very rapid pace and it is generating many questions and concerns for people with heart conditions, stroke and vascular cognitive impairment. People with these conditions may be more vulnerable at this time both physically and while trying to cope with social distancing and isolation. This webinar will offer timely practical guidance by healthcare experts regarding COVID-19, our conditions and self-isolation.

Learning Objectives

• To discuss the implications of COVID-19 for individuals with lived experience with heart disease, stroke and vascular cognitive impairment, including caregivers and family members
• To discuss mental health issues and identify key coping strategies for people with lived experience and caregivers at this time
