This video is dedicated to television actors Bill Bixby and Brenda Benet, a couple with an ultimately tragic history. They met when Brenda was still married to her first husband Paul Petersen. She eventually divorced him and went to live with Bill. They were married in 1971. In 1974 they had a son named Christopher.
Unfortunately, the pressure of Bill's high profile career became too much, among other factors, and they got divorced in 1979. But in 1981, Christopher died of a rare throat infection at the age of 6. This drove Brenda to extreme guilt that culminated in her suicide in April of 1982. Bill Bixby died of prostate cancer in November of 1993.
What I found interesting while making this video is that the "The Magician" episode "Illusion In Terror" was filmed at a very early point in their marriage, well over a year before their son was born. Then the "The Incredible Hulk" episode "The Psychic" was made just as they have already separated/divorced. So it's interesting to see them at those different points in their marriage.
