Toulouse is a lovely French city. It is full of history and beautiful architecture. There are plenty of buildings that are made up of its iconic terracotta bricks hence the city is nicknamed La Ville Rose (The Pink City). The city feels laid back and peaceful. It is only a 45 minute train journey from Carcassonne.
I used the SNCF Connect app to purchase tickets and it was hassle free.
