Arcade Nightmare! Risking our well being for Pinball & Arcade Machines! Massive destruction & mold!

Back in October 2021 we had an opportunity to rummage through the historic Holiday Plaza Arcade in Grand Bend Ontario Canada. It has been around for decades and was a popular staple on the Grand Bend beach strip. It sat vacant for over 10 years and a bad roof caused major deterioration of EVERYTHING. It was destined for demolition and not knowing what to expect we packed up and headed out there. We were super were excited to check it out but shocked once we opened the door!

In the end we probably risked life and limb to rescue some items but much was left behind. It was VERY dangerous in there. The floor and ceiling were barely intact. We actually fell through the floor on a few occasions. Good thing it was not a far drop! We could have easily broken an ankle or leg or worse. Many beams had fallen from the ceiling and we never knew when the next beam would come crashing down. Not to mention the danger of the mold that covered almost every single square inch of everything. Despite all the danger and our better judgement, we tried multiple times to get back in there to rescue more. I guess it was not meant to be. The owner probably realized the liability involved. It was a once in a lifetime experience and might have been for the better that it stayed that way!
