This was the place to live in the late 19th century if you were a successful artist, or an affluent member of the bourgeoisie. Hard to picture today the pastoral scenery that could be found here until the mid-1800!
What a great plan Baron Haussmann and entrepreneurial financiers like the Pereire brothers pulled off to develop this area of Paris!
Come and listen to some lesser-told stories. Along the way, you will meet a famous French dynasty that started in Haiti with the son of an African slave, see a beautiful (neo)gothic château... and eat a crêpe at the Parc Monceau.
