This was a long Costco afternoon with the kids, five days before Christmas.
A real slice of my everyday life with five of my eight kids. We set out together to take care of what we needed — moving through the store, meeting small challenges as they came up, thinking things through, and adjusting as needed when certain items weren’t available.
We worked together, stayed cooperative, and followed through on what we came to do. By the time we left, everyone was tired but settled, and the day felt complete.
