Mostly an upwind race due to the wind direction, with a massive ebb running. We never really got to fly the spinnaker. Only one boat went above Alcatraz and it paid off. They took first, while boats that hugged the city front ended up stuck, many dead in irons.
I was on an Express 37 Mud shark,, we stayed in the middle, more left of the fleet and the wind followed us. while the other Express 37 spindrift, went more right on the city front and was DFL

can't believe it was a mostly upwind race, the entire race, has that ever happened to you??
