The hike to Pagat Caves visits two water-filled underground caverns (one small and shallow, one large and deep) which are connected by a narrow rock corridor. Swimming in the caves is an truly refreshing experience after hiking through the heat and humidity of the jungle. A short distance past the caves is a beautiful natural sea arch along with spectacular ocean views. The hiking route is about 1.8 miles RT with 550 ft. of elevation gain (mostly on the way back). Challenges include dealing with often slippery and muddy conditions and some route-finding as not everything is marked clearly. Part 1 of 6 of our video series Hiking Guam.
