Join Audrey Barbakoff from Co/lab Capacity and Megan Janicki from ALA to discuss the importance of communications and outreach for the sustainability and success of your small business program. We will consider outreach, messaging, marketing, and community engagement strategies for four key audiences: small business owners (potential program participants), small business support organizations (potential partners), decision makers and elected officials, and library staff. In 2023, ALA and Co/lab Capacity released the Libraries Build Business Communications Toolkit which provides templates and resources for you to use when engaging in conversation with stakeholders. Learn how to use the tools and offer feedback and insight from your experience.
