I hated the hype of Da Nang so I got away from the crowds and loved it.

After a disappointing first visit to Da Nang in February, I returned to discover why this central Vietnamese city has become one of my favorites in Southeast Asia. This video takes you through the authentic food scene that completely changed my perspective on Da Nang.

Starting at 6 AM, I explore the real Da Nang through its incredible Central Vietnamese cuisine, which is distinctly different from Northern and Southern Vietnamese food. Central Vietnam's dishes feature more chili, lemongrass, and fermented flavors that create a unique "feisty middle child" character compared to other regions.
