Super Mario 64 first released in 1996 for the Nintendo 64 with loads of cut content left on the cartridge. This includes loads like references to a cut Yoshi event, early penguins seen on a cereal box, and debug information used by the developers. Luigi was planned for this game, so watch this video to find out the truth about if L is real! Mario 64 looked extremely different when it was first shown at Shoshinkai 1995 (also known as Spaceworld), with a different design for Princess Peach's castle, with moons on the walls, possibly suggesting you'd collect moons in an early version, like in Super Mario Odyssey.
