INGREDIENTS:
Cake
All purpose flour 240g
3/4 tsp baking powder | 1/2 plus 1/4 tsp =3/4 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
5 eggs | separate egg whites and yolks)
250g sugar ( 200g with yolks and 50g with egg whites)
milk 1/2 cup 120ml
vanilla extract 2 tsp
Gently fold with egg whites without deflating the air .
Bake in a pre heated oven at 350 F or 175 C for 30-35 mins until cake taste comes our clean.
Tres Leches/Three milk syrup:
milk 340ml or 1 and 1/3 cup whole milk full fat
2 cans of condensed milk
2 cans of evaporated milk
mix until combined
Frosting:
whipping cream 2 cups very cold
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
add pistachio paste for flavour
you can add pistachio paste to whole batch of frosting
I liked to keep it subtle but you can add pistachio paste to syrup and frosting for more boost of pistachio flavour
serve with chopped pistachios
