Today I’m sharing a cozy annotate with me vlog where I walk through the two main courses I’m studying right now: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and my New Testament spiral Bible. Annotating is helping me slow down, understand more deeply, and enjoy what I’m reading — and I hope this inspires you to pick up your books too. 💛
In this video:
📘 Annotating Frankenstein
I’m reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for the first time all the way through, and learning how to annotate to understand the older language and themes. I’m using a simple beginner-friendly method that’s working really well.
📖 New Testament Annotation
I’m also working through Luke 7:36–50 (“the woman who anointed Jesus’s feet”). I walk through the lesson ChatGPT helped me with, color coding, verbs, and the way I break down passages to make them stick.
🎀 My TBR Jar Pull
I introduce my new TBR jar system with categories like classics, romance, mystery, seasonal, and imagination. Today’s draw was “a play or short story collection,” so I’m diving into:
• Much Ado About Nothing (No Fear Shakespeare edition)
• The Garden Party and Other Stories by Katherine Mansfield
• A modern Romeo & Juliet retelling: These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong
If you’re into reading vlogs, annotating, classics, Christian devotionals, or cozy lifestyle content, I hope you’ll enjoy this one. 💛 Grab a cup of coffee and read along with me!
