This is a short video about how I prepare my beehives for winter. Cold doesn't kill bees, condensation kills bees. With a ventilation or quit box, your bees will have the best chance possible to survive the cold winter months. If you aren't using one of these, you may want to consider making them for your hives. They are easy, and inexpensive to make yourself from supplies you probably have laying around the garage.
