Seems to be a common problem with the fords, the 3rd stop light not working. Police will pull you over for it.
Checked for 12 volts and ground at the 2 wires and found good, so it points to a bad light.
I found it on Amazon.com at the cheapest price with shipping..50.00 dollars..Original Ford Item.
Pretty simple to change out, you might cringe while moving it around because it hits the back glass, but its OK....and if you lose the 3 clips while removing the light, they sit in the well inside the body, its easy to grab . S5E137
