AMAZING 88kg Harvest From 12 Pots! - 170-210 Days

Finally harvesting the main sweet potato plants in pots! 😃🙌🍠 These have been growing from 210-170 days(the younger plants are slips from the older plants) This has been the longest time i've left sweet potatoes to grow in pots! (all the previous years i've harvested between 90-150 days) 7 months is a long time but definitely worth it with some of these monster pots that had to be cut open 😂 Basic info below 👇

Varieties: Orange/Purple/White skins | Days Growing: 210-170 Days | Pot Size: 410mm/28L & one 52L/500mm

12 Pots(14 plants) | Total yield: 88.5kg/195lbs

So yeah this is a very satisfying yield and i am very very happy with it, but! Next year i might tone it down with the number of plants and plant them in bags again instead for easier harvesting(and less restrain on the roots when reaching maximum space capacity) 🍠

🔶 Orange variety: This variety still remains the best one to plant, easy to manage vines(since vine type) & always delivers me a yield no matter what(and has also delivered me the heaviest yields with 2 giving me 11kg! 😃) But for taste, the white skin & purple skin i recommend! Yield: 10/Taste: 5

🔶 Purple Variety: This variety comes in 2nd for production, in this harvest the 2 solo plants were part of the younger plants, so they have a smaller yield, but i can count on this variety to produce decent amount of roots to harvest! It's a bush type so you need to give it it's own room to grow(trellis is an option but you won't get too far with it) But this variety has a sweet & crumbly texture to it, so good choice for eating, but you'd probably get sick eating too much in 1 go 😂 Yield: 6-8/Taste: 6-8

🔶 White Variety: This variety is always a hit or miss!(and for others too) Like you either literally get nothing but tiny french fry sized roots or a decent harvest 😂 It seems the much longer harvesting day, more sunlight & watering did the trick! Although from the pot with all 3 varieties growing together, this one does not like sharing 😂(Which is evident it needs it's own space or it will not give you anything decent 😅 This is a bush type but you may trellis it for more sun exposure(but you also won't get too far since it's a bush type like the purple skin variety) This variety is my favourite! The texture & flavour is rich, not too sweet, this one i could eat every single day! 😃 Yield: 1-7/Taste: 6-8
