I read a Shapeshifter Romance... by mistake. I am not the target audience for this book, so it's no surprise that I didn't really enjoy it. If you are a fan, don't watch this video. I know I'm taking an intentionally corny and gimmicky romance novel too seriously, but, well, that's my tragic flaw. At least there are some things I think authors can learn from it:
Guideline #1: A good premise combines the mundane and the strange. (Also, be concise!)
Guideline #2: Include some likable characters.
Guideline #3: TELL the reader what you want them to know. SHOW them what you want them to believe.
