November 1988 Wire faced Oldham at home in the league. After leading 16-2 at half time, three late tries for Wire from Woods and two from Phil Blake snatched it 32-30 with Blake's second in the last minute.
Des opened the scoring then Davidson barged over. Then Foz scored a 90 yard penalty try (don't see many of them!!) after being hauled down off the ball by former Wire winger Kevin Meadows. At stand off for Oldham was future Wire Chris O'Sullivan.
But this clip is to show three pieces of magic from two special players, a near try from Blake leading to Woods' try, then Blake making sure minutes later. Enjoy.
