EASY Cinematic Lighting Setup

💡 The Key-Word is: Motivated Lighting!
Motivated Lighting can really step up the quality of your lighting.

1️⃣ First start clean: That means no Lightsource in your room. This helps to build your lighting easier.

2️⃣ Key-Light: I used the ‪@ZhiyunTechGlobal‬ B500 (at 8%) with a Parabolic Softbox and a Grid in front. The Grid focuses the light better and removes any light spill on the background. Darkening the Background further producing more separation.

3️⃣ Fill-Light: This one is as important as the Key! Not only fills this light the Shadow side of your face, it can also be used as a plash of color increasing the drama in the image. I used the Zhiyun M20C set to a vibrant orange color and placed it straight to my left.

4️⃣ Hair-Light: This is nice to further separate your subject from the background. For that i rigged a M20C set to white on a C-Stand and pointed it at my head, slightly from behind. This light isnt coming out nowhere, its motivated by the Neon Sign in the back, creating a more realistic look.

5️⃣ Background Practical: This one is just a LED Tube set to the same vibrant orange as the Fill to create a source of the Fill. Its magnetized to the Shelf in the back. The Fill looks therefore more realistic, since it's motivated Light seems to come and wrap around from the practical in the back.
