Nuraghe Adoni Villanova Tulo

Un complesso architettonico di 3500 anni fa, elevato a 800 metri sul livello del mare, in mezzo ad un bosco, che domina i monti del Sarcidano, nella Sardegna centro-meridionale.
Giunti in vetta al colle su cui sorge, al termine di un trekking tra alberi secolari, avrete la sensazione di abbracciare e dominare con lo sguardo tutto il territorio circostante, un panorama mozzafiato dal massiccio del Gennargentu al il parco dei Sette Fratelli. Il nuraghe Adoni è un complesso monumentale protostorico che sorge su un isolato e ripido bastione calcareo a circa cinque chilometri da Villanova Tulo, antico e piccolo borgo del Sarcidano, adagiato sul colle San Sebastiano e fiancheggiato dal fiume Flumendosa. Si tratta di uno splendido esempio di sito pluristratificato, risalente ad un'età compresa tra il Bronzo finale e quello recente (1350-1150 a.C.), mai del tutto abbandonato: la posizione di controllo sul territorio fece sì che la zona fosse frequentata fino al Medioevo. Per raggiungere il nuraghe si può seguire un comodo sentiero di circa cinque chilometri, attraverso un paesaggio suggestivo al confine tra la Barbagia di Seulo e i Tacchi d'Ogliastra. La fatica nell'affrontare le pendenze dell'ultima 'salita' in questione sarà ampiamente ripagata.
L'architettura del complesso, costruito con grandi blocchi, è costituita da una torre centrale (mastio), originariamente a più piani, sorretta da un bastione formato da quattro torri angolari, che racchiudeva due cortili. Il mastio e il bastione si adattano ai livelli della roccia affiorante e sembrano realizzati con tecniche costruttive diverse, indicando molteplici momenti di costruzione. Noterai scale, nicchie e tende nelle pareti. Attorno a voi vedrete un massiccio muro e sul pianoro sovrastano i resti di un vasto villaggio di capanne circolari, risalenti al Bronzo Recente, modificati ed ampliati nel Bronzo Recente. Nei vari ambienti sono state individuate aree destinate alla cottura dei cibi, alla conservazione degli alimenti e ai lavori domestici, come la filatura.

An architectural complex from 3500 years ago, raised 800 meters above sea level, in the middle of a forest, which dominates the Sarcidano mountains, in central-southern Sardinia.
When you reach the summit of the hill on which it stands, at the end of a trek among centuries-old trees, you will have the sensation of embracing and dominating the entire surrounding area with your gaze, a breathtaking panorama from the Gennargentu massif to the Sette Fratelli park. The Adoni nuraghe is a proto-historic monumental complex that stands on an isolated and steep limestone bastion about five kilometers from Villanova Tulo, an ancient and small village in the Sarcidano area, nestled on the San Sebastiano hill and flanked by the Flumendosa river. It is a splendid example of a multi-layered site, dating back to an age between the Final and Recent Bronze Ages (1350-1150 BC), never completely abandoned: the position of control over the territory meant that the area was frequented until the Middle Ages. To reach the nuraghe, you can follow an easy path of about five kilometres, through a suggestive landscape on the border between Barbagia di Seulo and Tacchi d'Ogliastra. The effort in tackling the slopes of the last 'climb' in question will be amply rewarded.
The architecture of the complex, built with large blocks, consists of a central tower (mastio), originally with several floors, which is supported by a bastion made up of four corner towers, which enclosed two courtyards. The keep and bastion adapt to the levels of the outcropping rock and appear to have been made with different construction techniques, indicating multiple moments of construction. You will notice stairs, niches and curtains in the walls. Around you you will see a massive wall and on the plateau overlooking the remains of a vast village of circular huts, dating back to the Late Bronze Age, modified and expanded in the Late Bronze Age. In the various environments, areas have been identified for cooking food, storing food and domestic work, such as spinning.

Come arrivare al Nuraghe Adoni
Per raggiungere il nuraghe partendo da Villanova Tulo si deve uscire dal centro del paese imboccando via Santa Maria in direzione nord. Dopo 88 metri svoltare a sinistra e imboccare via Sarcidano. Dopo 250 metri, svoltare a destra ed immettersi sulla SP52, seguendo la strada per 3,6 chilometri. Il Nuraghe Adoni si trova sulla sinistra.
