Jeff Burton has been making music all over the world for decades and has become friends with so many major artists. (Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck, Paul Rogers, The Rolling Stones, etc.)

Son of legendary guitarist, James Burton, Jeffrey started playing guitar at the age of 14 and had his own band in Los Angeles by the age of 17 named ‘Influence’, playing all of the major clubs and top venues in California.

While living in L.A., Jeff graduated from G.I.T., one of the most prestigious guitar institutes in the world and spent time writing music and recording, even building and running his own recording studio with many big names desiring to record there.

After California, Jeff moved to Hawaii for 5 years, performing a long-running show with his band, ‘Jeff Burton & the Corvettes’ at the Hyatt Regency.

Moving to Shreveport from Hawaii in August 1995, he opened up the ‘James Burton Rock&Roll Cafe’ and performed with his band, ‘Jeff & the Corvettes’.

The Rock&Roll Cafe was very popular with the locals and saw many ‘big name’ entertainers play there, alongside Jeff.

In 2008, James and Jeff formed a band, appropriately titled The James Burton Band, which included Jeff as the lead singer and on occasion even featured James’ grandchildren Skylar and Taylor, Jeff’s daughter.

They have toured together for years and separately with shows all over the world from Japan to Europe, from New York to Los Angeles.

Jeffrey was also the mind that devised and designed the “three” pickup system for the Telecaster that Fender created as the James Burton signature model, essentially turning a Telecaster into a Stratocaster.

During his career, Jeff Burton has performed onstage with an extensive list of artists including Sammy Hagar, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jerry Garcia, Jeff Beck, John Denver and countless other stars.

Jeff took a very personal interest in the James Burton Foundation, devoting his time and energies to a cause he truly believed in, donating guitars to kids in schools, hospitals, civic programs and veterans groups.

He was proud of designing and building the recording studio at the James Burton Foundation, all with the intention of giving a new,
young generation of players a place to begin their dream.

Jeff’s love for music has driven him all of his life.

April 6th, 2019, Jeff went to Heaven to be with our Lord.
