Around 1957-58 "Peter Gunn" was a detective series on TV. It was the first series to have its own music written for it. Henry Mancini wrote 18-20 very hip tunes for the show including "Peter Gunn", "Session at Pete's Pad", "Brothers Go to Mothers", etc. If there was a love theme in the collection, it would be "Dreamsville".
