UK Family Arrives in Penang, Malaysia for the First Time | Full Time Travel Vlog

We’re a UK family travelling full time and this was our first time in Penang, Malaysia! After leaving Langkawi, we wanted to see what Penang is all about – and why so many expats choose to live here.

We hired a car to explore the island and checked into one of our longest stays to date. At first glance, the accommodation looked great… but then the problems started: broken toilets, a leaking washing machine, a faulty water filter, and loud maintenance work above us. To top it off, the pool was closed!
Despite the challenges, we stayed positive and made the most of it – visiting a local waterfall, trying Penang’s famous food, and reflecting on our experience and decisions so far. The vlog ends with us finally enjoying the newly reopened pool.

This vlog is full of highs and lows and shows the real life of being a full time travelling family – the resilience, the adventures, and the reality behind the journey.
