MINIS MINIS MINIS. My Experience of MINI Mountain Days - Video 3 .The Grand Alpine Tour-July 2025.

I was fortunate to have taken part in the MINI Mountain Days event, organised by CARLINGER Motor & Events which took place between 5 -7 July 2025, driving my 2016 Mini Cooper S, along with about 44 modern MINIS from other european countries, including Germany , Sweden and Austria. This was the first time I had ever driven through the Alps and in fact any mountain roads. I had driven from England to take part and was the only right hand drive car.

The Alpine Tour took place on the second day on 6 July. We had a early start at about 8am and would be driving most of the day , although we would have a mid morning break and lunch. I found it pretty exhausting, after my long drive from England, but it was an experiance I will remember forever.

This is the third video, of about four or five, that I will be uploading. It is also the longest , being around 52 mins in length having been filmed over a day. It shows some spectacular scenery. I hope you enjoy what I was able to capture , having to manage the cameras , driving and in an unfamiliar environment.

I would like to thank Marcus Karlinger and his Team, including Cappo, who gave me the chance to participate and helped me. They work very hard to ensure all participates have a great time. Also all the other MINI drivers and passengers , who were a very friendly bunch and helped me with translation .

Sit down with a cup of tea and ride with me through the Austrian Alps in and out of Italy, to eventually return from where we began at the Timmesjock Toll Station and Motorcycle museum .

Ich hatte das Glück, an den MINI Mountain Days von CARLINGER Motor & Events vom 5. bis 7. Juli 2025 teilzunehmen. Ich fuhr mit meinem 2016er Mini Cooper S zusammen mit rund 44 modernen MINIs aus anderen europäischen Ländern, darunter Deutschland, Schweden und Österreich. Es war das erste Mal, dass ich die Alpen und überhaupt Bergstraßen durchquerte. Ich war aus England angereist und war das einzige Auto mit Rechtslenkung.

Die Alpentour fand am zweiten Tag, dem 6. Juli, statt. Wir starteten früh gegen 8 Uhr und fuhren fast den ganzen Tag, obwohl wir eine Pause am Vormittag und ein Mittagessen einlegten. Nach der langen Fahrt aus England war es ziemlich anstrengend, aber es war ein Erlebnis, das ich nie vergessen werde.

Dies ist das dritte von etwa vier oder fünf Videos, die ich hochladen werde. Es ist auch das längste: Es dauert etwa 52 Minuten und wurde an einem Tag gedreht. Es zeigt eine spektakuläre Landschaft. Ich hoffe, euch gefällt, was ich beim Kameramanagement, Fahren und in einer ungewohnten Umgebung einfangen konnte.
