Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the founder of the modern Theosophical movement, in her works such as The Secret Doctrine and Isis Unveiled, revealed ancient knowledge about the structure of the universe. One of the key concepts is the idea of the Seven Veils of Consciousness (or Seven Levels of Reality), which symbolize layers of illusion (Maya) separating us from ultimate truth. These “veils” are not physical barriers but states of consciousness, corresponding to the seven planes of existence and the seven principles of the human constitution. Blavatsky drew from Eastern traditions, Hermeticism, and Neoplatonism, claiming that understanding these levels leads to spiritual awakening.
