Itanagar, September 15, 2025: Doordarshan Kendra (DDK) Itanagar marked a dual celebration today, commemorating the 66th Foundation Day of Doordarshan, India’s premier public service broadcaster, alongside Engineers’ Day at its Itanagar office. The event, held with fervor and pride, highlighted Doordarshan’s remarkable journey since its inception in 1959 as an experimental television service under All India Radio (now Akashvani).

The celebration brought together the Head of Department and staff from the Regional News Unit, Programme Section, and Engineering Wings of DDK Itanagar.
