छत्तीसगढ़, जिसे भारत का 'धान का कटोरा' कहा जाता है, आज अपने खनिज संसाधनों के कारण एक बड़े संघर्ष का केंद्र बन चुका है। कोल माइंस... यानी कोयले की खदानें! एक तरफ विकास का दावा है, तो दूसरी तरफ 14 गांवों के ग्रामीणों का अपनी जल, जंगल और ज़मीन को बचाने का 'करो या मरो' आंदोलन। रायगढ़ के तमनार ब्लॉक में जिंदल पावर लिमिटेड (JPL) की प्रस्तावित खदान के खिलाफ 5 दिनों से ग्रामीण धरने पर हैं, उनका साफ कहना है - "ज़मीन नहीं देंगे!" लेकिन यह कहानी सिर्फ रायगढ़ की नहीं है। सरगुजा में पुलिस और ग्रामीणों के बीच भीषण झड़प हुई, जिसमें पुलिसकर्मियों को पथराव का सामना करना पड़ा, वहीं कोरबा में CISF ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को दौड़ा-दौड़ाकर पीटा।

Chhattisgarh, known as the “Rice Bowl of India,” has now become the center of a major conflict due to its mineral resources. Coal mines… yes, coal mining! On one side, there are claims of development, while on the other side, villagers from 14 villages are fighting a “do or die” battle to save their water, forests, and land.

In Tamnar block of Raigarh, villagers have been protesting for the past five days against the proposed mine of Jindal Power Limited (JPL), clearly stating — “We will not give our land!”

But this story is not just limited to Raigarh. In Surguja, there has been a fierce clash between the police and villagers, where police personnel faced heavy stone-pelting. Meanwhile in Korba, CISF allegedly chased and beat up protesters.
