OJO - this video is not about applying for residency in The Dominican Republic for the first time, this is a renewal process video, and something of a travel vlog.

Residency Renewal - Documents and protocol

For your appointment - Wear long trousers, decent shoes (no shorts or flip flops) and wear a top with a collar, plain color, no fancy designs. No Necklaces or earrings.

Old Residency Card
Old Cedula
Passport and copy of passport
2 x 2 Passport photos - Without jewelry or glasses - To be on the safe side get 4 passport quality photos, front and side profile, and have the photographer send them to you also digitally by Whatsapp for whoever is assisting you through the process. Tell the photographer it’s for your residency and they will know the format.
Copy of your confirmed appointment
Copy of insurance payment for residency - this is mandatory payment and used for medical / repatriation should it be required.
Letter confirming employment from your employer - or sometimes if retired a bank statement might be required
Police Certificate of Good Conduct from DR police

Take your credit card as a payment is required for the residency and cedula process.
