This Senior Community Has A 110-Foot Waterfall & Koi Pond!

This is Elim Village in Surrey, British Columbia – home to seven different Aquascape water features built over the last few years. Today we’re touring the crown jewel: a massive koi pond with a 110' stream, intake bay, and a 25' x 20' wetland filter that keeps the water crystal clear.

What makes this one extra special? A resident who overlooks the old, leaking pond loved the view so much that he personally funded the rebuild so every resident could enjoy it. Now there are fish, lilies, waterfalls, bridges, pavilions, and quiet spots to sit and connect with family, friends, and neighbors. Water truly brings people together.

In this video, Diego and Dan walk through all seven Aquascape features at Elim Village – from simple urn fountains to full ecosystem ponds – and explains how the wetland filter works (over 80 AquaBlox, 6 Centipedes, and 2 Snorkel Vaults!) to give this community a low-maintenance, natural-looking centerpiece.
