I am an amateur pianist who have been dreaming of playing this tragically horrendous piece by Sergei Prokofiev.
It was an unbelievable dream come true moment for me.
I just cannot contain myself, the oppressed angst, the regret, self-hatred, forlorn...
What the f am I? I will never know...
Self-unalivement of Prokofiev's dear friend Maximilian Schmidthof..
I play this piece as if I am telling Max on behalf of Prokofiev which...
he was too late to tell.
I wail 'why?.. why?.. just why?' in my mind while playing this piece, it aches me.
How the irony of the pathetic system drove a promising young man to the deep abyss.
The piece just hits hard and resonates deep within me.
I will remember you Max..
