Welcome to a new tutorial series for absolute beginners, I’ll be going through the A-Z of creating agate slice geode coasters. This is a full step-by-step tutorial. Any questions or comments please leave in the comments section below this video.

In this episode part 1 of 3, learn how to create a custom freeform molds using easy to use materials that won’t cost a fortune. This is perfect for absolute beginners as a way of trying out this method before investing more money into resin art, which can be costly, so try these methods out first!

• 100% Silicone Caulk (in a tube or in a barrel)
• Acetate film in sheets or a roll
• Pelikan Nakiplast Soft Modelling Dough (I chose blue but any color is fine)
• Disposable gloves
• Dust mask
• Dish soap and water to clean the base of the molds
