In this video I gather evidence and present a theory to explain how communication between worlds and across time functions in FF7 Rebirth.
Primarily that S&J cells allow Sephiroth & Cloud to communicate between worlds. The white Materia acts as a counter to this Alien ability as it canonically connects the Cetra through the lifestream.
