Buy the ready to fly (RTF) version of PA-18 and you will be flying within an hour of opening the box. The only extra thing you will need is 4 AA batteries for the transmitter.

I really liked the short take off and landing (STOL) characteristics of this aeroplane. Use the flaps to take off within 1 metre and land in less than 2 metres. Otherwise this could be a perfect first step to learning to fly a radio controlled aeroplane and mastering flight beyond just the basics.
