farookhabad ka itihaas bahut hi prachin kal se hai फर्रुखाबाद का इतिहास बहुत ही प्राचीन काल से है अगर कहें कि चारों युगों से इसका संबंध रहा है तो गलत नहीं होगा ।सुखा बाद में हिंदू धर्म जैन धर्म बौद्ध धर्म और इस्लाम को मानने वालों के लिए बहुत कुछ है। अगर गंगा जमुनी तहजीब देखनी है तो फर्रुखाबाद में आइए।
यह दक्षिण पंचाल छेत्र रहा है इसकी राजधानी कंपिल थी जहां के राजा द्रुपद थे इसको अपरा काशी भी कहा जाता है भोलेनाथ की नगरी है यह।
सन 1714 ईस्वी में तत्कालीन यहां के नवाब मोहम्मद बंगश खा ने। तत्कालीन दिल्ली के सुल्तान फारुखशियर के नाम पर किसका नया नामकरण किया जिसको आप लोग फर्रुखाबाद के नाम से जानते हो।
यहां पर बहुत से धार्मिक और तीर्थ स्थल मौजूद है।
माता गंगा के किनारे बसा हुआ खूबसूरत शहर फर्रुखाबाद।
