My first time skiing ALTA

Alta ski area is one of a kind, and not just because it prohibits snowboarders. It is regarded to have the best snow in North America and on average get's nuked with 13.8m (454 inches) of snow annually. Alta is situated in a unique micro climate near the Great Salt Lake which allows for a high volume of very low moisture snowfall. I finally felt some of this magical Utah snow over the past few days. I've been getting pretty lucky as of recent and the Alta patrol team opened the Baldy Chutes (Alta Chute) and the East Wall for the first time of the season. Minus the whole sidestepping traversing thing, I loved every little thing about this mountain. Technically I skied Alta yesterday when I hit the Devil's Castle rope drop, but this is the first full day dedicated to the ski area.
