ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে স্বাস্থ্যসেবার মান ও ব্যবস্থাপনা পর্যালোচনার সময় স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালকের সঙ্গে এক চিকিৎসকের বাগবিতণ্ডার ঘটনা ঘটেছে। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক অধ্যাপক ডা. মো. আবু জাফর হাসপাতাল পরিদর্শনে গিয়ে সেবার মান, জরুরি বিভাগ পরিচালনা, রোগী ব্যবস্থাপনা ও স্টাফদের উপস্থিতি নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলেন। এসময় ক্যাজুয়ালিটি ইনচার্জ ডা. ধনদেব বর্মন তার বিভাগের সীমাবদ্ধতা, জনবল সংকট এবং দায়িত্ব পালনের চাপে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেন। যা নিয়ে শুরু ডিজি ও তার মধ্যে উত্তপ্ত বাক্য বিনিময়। পরে ডা. ধনদেব বর্মনকে বহিষ্কারের নির্দেশ দেন স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক অধ্যাপক ডা. মো. আবু জাফর।

During a review of the quality and management of healthcare at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, a doctor had an argument with the Director General of the Department of Health. Director General of the Department of Health, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Zafar, visited the hospital and raised questions about the quality of service, emergency department management, patient management and staff attendance. At that time, Casualty In-charge Dr. Dhandeb Barman expressed his anger over the limitations of his department, manpower shortage and the pressure of performing his duties. This led to a heated exchange of words between the DG and him. Later, Director General of the Department of Health, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Zafar ordered the expulsion of Dr. Dhandeb Barman.
