Lawmakers in Hungary have changed the country's constitution to outlaw LGBTQ public gatherings. Despite protests by rights groups and the opposition, the controversial amendment passed with 140 votes in favor and 21 against. The new amendment put forward by Prime Minister Viktor Orban's Fídesz Party effectively bans Pride parades. It also allows authorities to use facial recognition technology to identify people attending such events.
