A television advert for Sun Life's Over 50 Plan, a life insurance product guaranteeing acceptance with no medical examination required. The advert, presented by Frank Windsor, highlights the plan's benefits, including a payout to help with "final expenses".
The advert also encourages viewers to call a freephone number for an information pack. There was apparently "no obligation and no salesmen [would] call" - whether that was actually true is probably debatable!
The free "charming carriage clock" offer was a common marketing tactic during the 90s, to create a sense of urgency in the signup process.
I recall a similar clock from my grandma's mantelpiece - does make me wonder whether she got it from a company like this one!
