This has to be one of our favourite silage videos of all our projects so far! Here we go back to the early-80s with Davy Browns, Zetors carting from a Fortschritt harvester, a German-made machine - no fancy aesthetics here but she looks class! Fortschritt were taken over by Case IH in 1997.
The real highlight though was coming across the Volvo BM loader on the pit. What an absolute beast! Reckon it would be a long day in the pit driving that thing.
Enjoy these memories from over 40 years ago - thanks to a new tape donor for sharing the memories for us all to enjoy.
