Welcome to the beautiful city of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Today, we are going on an extraordinary food tour of the most delicious and popular Pakistani dishes and beverages.

First of all, I want to express my immense gratitude to my dear friend Ali Naqi Hamdani, who guided me in this video and provided the best recommendations for experiencing Pakistani cuisine.
I would also like to thank the Highland Country Club & Resort hotel, for providing me with a memorable experience during my stay in Islamabad.

Here are all the authentic Pakistani dishes and beverages that I tasted:

After having breakfast, we decided to try the famous Pakistani dish, Shami Kebab, which was truly exceptional.
Shami Kebab, a famous Pakistani dish in Islamabad is an exciting and popular street food that consists of several mouthwatering layers and flavors. It starts with eggs poured into a frying pan, creating an appetizing base. The bread is heated in the pan and then topped with a mixture of chickpea puree, vegetables, and shredded beef. Onions and ketchup sauce are added, enhancing the taste. The beef is cooked in the pan and placed inside the bread along with cabbage. Eggs are cracked into the pan, flipped, and then added to the sandwiches. The addition of mayonnaise sauce, spices, and a drizzle of mint yogurt sauce brings out exceptional flavors. The combination of meat, bread, mayonnaise, and eggs is truly a masterpiece that makes this Pakistani street food a delicious and extraordinary treat.
Afterwards, we tried two amazing Pakistani beverages, Lemon Soda with black salt and Ice Cola, which were absolutely heavenly.
Lemon Soda with black salt: Lemon Soda, a famous street beverage in Islamabad, Pakistan, is a local and highly renowned drink made with dissolved sugar, soda, fresh lemon, and black salt. The preparation process involves excitingly opening the soda bottles, vigorously shooting them into the air. The ingredients, including dissolved sugar, fresh lemon, and crushed ice, are mixed in glasses using ladles. Soda and black salt are added for a unique and thrilling taste. There are two types available: salted and plain Lemon Soda. Overall, it is a delicious and refreshing drink loved by many.
Ice Cola: Ice Cola is a popular and refreshing street drink in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is made by using a special device to turn ice into powdered form. Various flavored syrups, such as red rose and blueberry, are poured over the powdered ice. The drink is known for its coolness and delicious taste. Despite even attracting the attention of a tester bee, Ice Cola remains a unique and extraordinary summer beverage that is enjoyed and appreciated by many.
Then, we went to Jinnah Supermarket in Islamabad, which is a hub of various food spots. We tasted different dishes such as Indian Paratha, Shawarma with barbecue sauce, which was a masterpiece. After that, we had Afghan chips and Shami Kebab roll, which were incredibly crispy, delicious, and unique.
Afghan chips and Shami Kebab roll: Afghani chips are made by frying sliced and seasoned potatoes until they are crispy. They are served with a special chutney that includes chili, coriander, lemon, and vinegar, giving them a unique and flavorful taste. Shami kebab rolls are made using a combination of chickpeas and lentils, along with various spices. A special chutney is added to enhance the flavor. The combination of the Shami kebab filling and the chutney creates a delicious and popular street food. Both Afghani chips and Shami kebab rolls provide a delightful culinary experience in Islamabad's street food scene.
After tasting all these extraordinary dishes, we went to taste the delicious Pan.
Pan is a unique and peculiar snack enjoyed in Islamabad, Pakistan. It consists of ingredients like coconut powder, gulkand (sweetened rose leaf), and various types of syrup, all wrapped inside a pan leaf. This combination creates a delicious and distinctive taste that quickly captivates the senses. It is a truly amazing snack that surprises and delights with its rich flavors.
